The MRI scanner has an open design and is quiet during operation. This combination enhances patient comfort, reduces anxiety and eliminates claustrophobic effects, that are found with conventional scanners.
Following your scan you can drive, eat and drink as normal.
The images that have been obtained will be reported (If requested) by a Radiologist, a specialist in imaging. The results and MRI scans will be made available to your Doctor who will arrange to see you and discuss the results and give advise.
There are no known risks or side effects from MRI scanning
